About STATSports:

What if the product you helped to build next week was worn by an elite athlete the week after?

At STATSports, that could be your reality.

Since 2007, we’ve grown from a small Irish start‑up into the global leader in GPS performance tracking, trusted by the world’s biggest clubs, leagues, and athletes. Our technology sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and sport, helping teams optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and unlock insights that were previously impossible.

But just as importantly, our products support the next generation of athletes, from academies to grassroots, giving them access to the same performance tools as the pros.

Innovation has always driven us forward, and it’s our people who make that happen.

Opportunity

We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join our delivery team and help deploy STATSports Live Data infrastructure across stadiums, training grounds, and indoor and outdoor facilities.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you’ll plan, install, test, and commission complex networked systems in real‑world sporting environments. You’ll work directly with customers and internal teams, taking ownership of projects from site survey through to handover and sign‑off.

If you’re proactive, comfortable travelling and working on‑site, and enjoy seeing technically complex systems come to life in iconic venues, this role will suit you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing, designing, installing, testing, and commissioning live data infrastructure across training grounds, indoor facilities, and stadiums
  • Planning projects from initial site survey through to final handover
  • Communicating directly with the clients’ Network and Facilities Managers
  • Carrying out on‑site and remote site surveys to assess technical and logistical requirements
  • Producing system specifications and proposal documentation based on customer needs
  • Preparing hardware, including physical assembly and pre‑installation testing
  • Creating risk assessments, method statements, site schedules, and coordinating access, permits, and match‑day constraints
  • Supervising on‑site installations, guiding customer subcontractors and internal partners
  • Designing and documenting network layouts for beacon and live data systems, including PoE switching, VLANs, addressing plans, patch panels, and cabinet layouts
  • Installing and validating GNSS antenna systems, including placement planning, cable routing, earthing, surge protection, and signal verification
  • Owning the mechanical scope of installations, ensuring brackets, mounts, poles, fixings, environmental sealing, cable management, and safe routing
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation, including network diagrams, cable schedules, port maps, and as‑built drawings
  • Producing installation reports with test results, photos, and system evidence
  • Testing and qualifying each installation against agreed acceptance criteria
  • Leading or supporting customer test activities and driving close‑out and sign‑off
  • Troubleshooting field issues quickly using structured isolation and evidence‑based escalation
  • Working closely with Account Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Product Installation teams to align scope, timelines, and customer expectations
What we’re looking for
  • Have a degree, apprenticeship, or technical qualification in networking, electrical, telecoms, or a related field
  • Are comfortable designing and working with IP networks, switches, routers, VLANs, DHCP, and PoE systems
  • Have hands‑on experience with Ethernet cabling standards, terminations, and testing
  • Understand wireless technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ultra‑Wideband at a practical level
  • Can produce and interpret technical documentation, including network diagrams, cable schedules, and site mark‑ups
  • Are confident working on‑site with tools, test equipment, and PPE
  • Can manage your own tasks, meet deadlines, and drive projects through to completion
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
  • Are comfortable working in stadium environments, including out‑of‑hours work when required
  • Hold a full driving licence, a passport, and are willing to travel
Nice to have
  • Experience with stadium or large‑venue deployments, fibre…
