Trust Manager – Accountancy Practice Winchester Hybrid & Flexible Working Competitive, based on experience A well-established accountancy and tax advisory practice in Winchester is seeking an experienced Trust Manager to join its growing Trusts and Estates team . This is a client-facing role offering responsibility for a diverse portfolio of UK trust and estate clients , with involvement in advisory work and progression opportunities.

This opportunity is ideal for a fully qualified ACA or ACCA professional with strong trust and estate experience who is ready to step into, or continue within, a Manager-level role.

The Role As Trust Manager , your responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of Trust and Estate clients Preparation and review of trust and estate tax returns and trust accounts Reviewing Inheritance Tax (IHT) returns , including death estates, periodic and exit charges Assisting Partners and Senior Managers with trust advisory projects and technical queries Ongoing management of trust administration, including the Trust Registration Service (TRS) Acting as a key point of contact for clients and trustees Attending Trustee meetings with Partners where required Supervising and supporting junior members of the Trusts team Ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time, and to a high technical standard Candidate Profile Fully qualified (ACA or ACCA preferred) Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified UK practice experience , ideally within a medium or large firm Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified UK practice experience , ideally within a medium or large firm Strong understanding of UK trusts and estates and related tax implications Experience preparing trust tax returns and trust accounts Solid knowledge of Inheritance Tax for trusts and estates Agricultural and rural trust experience highly desirable
