Process Design Engineer – Northern Ireland

Your new company A leading engineering and construction organisation is seeking a Process Design Engineer to join its project delivery team in Northern Ireland. This role focuses on the process design of water and wastewater engineering solutions for major clients.

• Prepare preliminary and detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater process engineering activities.
• Produce optioneering reports and project documentation in line with industry standards.
• Evaluate hydraulic designs and apply knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Coordinate with project engineers to ensure timely tender submissions and process design delivery.
• Maintain communication with other engineering disciplines to develop turnkey solutions.
• Review supplier information for compliance with project requirements and client standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Support business development by demonstrating technical competence and quality assurance.

• Degree-qualified in environmental, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment.
• Strong data analysis and technical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage workload and deliver projects on time, within cost and quality objectives.
• Proficiency in engineering software packages.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
