We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 teacher to join a vibrant primary school in South London. The role is to cover the Easter term, working with a wonderful class of Year 5 students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment, and supporting the development of the children in your care.
As the successful candidate, you will collaborate with the wider school team to maintain high standards and provide the best possible education for all students.
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons to a Year 5 class, following the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Implement positive behavior management strategies.
- Ensure each child's learning needs are met.
- Support children with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure a high standard of education.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent experience teaching Key Stage 2 (particularly Year
5). - DBS on the Update Service (must be current and valid).
- Full compliance documents (Right to Work in the UK, references, etc.) in place.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Experience with SEN or additional learning needs.
- Familiarity with the local curriculum and educational standards in South London.
- Strong ICT skills.
