Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Maintenance Assistant/Floor Tech to join our team in a full‑time capacity. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and well‑maintained environment for residents and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and a proactive approach to facilities maintenance. Duties- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks across various facility areas, including floors, common spaces, and resident rooms, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards.
- Conduct minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical work, welding, and carpentry using schematics and technical diagrams when necessary.
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment, including ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices, to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Assist with residential painting projects and other cosmetic repairs to uphold facility aesthetics.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
- Support larger facilities maintenance projects under supervision, demonstrating leadership and teamwork skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or staff concerns promptly and professionally.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics interpretation, electrical troubleshooting, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in welding techniques and electrical repairs with familiarity in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead small teams during maintenance projects is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in residential painting or general upkeep tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective coordination with team members and residents.
