SUMMARY
Responsible for management of the daily operations of the physical plant, systems and grounds. Manages the repair, design, modification, and preservation of buildings and grounds. Ensures that all architectural mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, and cooling systems are in operating order and in compliance with all applicable governing agency facility standards, codes and regulations.

Demonstrates flexibility and innovation to facilitate the changes required to improve operations or to enhance revenue, effectiveness, productivity, responsiveness, and other quality factors.

Assesses manpower needs, including number of staff, skill mix, and appropriate schedules, and budgets accordingly.

Develops and maintains competency‑based job descriptions outlining duties, responsibilities and requirements of jobs.
Interviews employment candidates and selects competent and qualified personnel for authorized vacant positions.
Assesses the competence of employees upon hire, transfer and on an annual basis. Assessment considers age‑specific needs of patients.
