Job Summary:
As a sales associate you will be the face of our company. You get to highlight our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. Must be capable of learning about what we sell and are able to articulate our purpose in a manner that is educational, insightful and professional.

- Customer Service – Proactively engage and make a connection with customers, ask questions and listen to their needs, direct them to merchandise, and inform about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card.
- Provide premier customer service; cooperate and build positive, inclusive and respectful relationships; take accountability for your own actions and outcomes.
- Organization – Maintaining store appearance.
- Sales – Cross‑sell products and know the layout of the store; make suggestions based on customer needs; upsell products; learn product features and keep up with the latest trends; use company tools and technology to confidently provide product knowledge.
- Cash & Point‑of‑Sale – Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards; handle cash and return accurate amounts to customers; count money; complete forms, reports and reconcile.
- Inventory – Keep merchandise, complete all inventory processes and ensure accurate ticketing; participate in periodic inventories.
- Dependability – Adhere to assigned work schedule; accurately complete work assignments; perform other duties as assigned.
- Product Knowledge – Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
- Experience – Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Communication – Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents; effective telephone etiquette.
- Mathematical – Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reasoning – Ability to multi‑task while being attentive to customers; work as part of a team; take initiative independently of direct supervision.
- Physical Demands – Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders; lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. in some departments; performed indoors, sometimes outdoors.
- Other Skills – Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service.
- Work Hours – Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- No experience required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
