Job Summary

As a sales associate you will be the face of our company. You will highlight our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. The role requires the ability to learn about what we sell and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner.

• Customer Service – Proactively engage and make a connection with customers, ask questions, listen to their needs, direct them to merchandise, inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card. Provide premier customer service and build positive, inclusive, respectful relationships. Take accountability for your actions and outcomes.
• Organization – Maintain store appearance.
• Sales – Cross‑sell products and know the layout of the store. Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions based on individual needs. Upsell products. Learn product features, keep up with the latest trends, and leverage company tools and technology to confidently provide product knowledge and specs.
• Point‑of‑Sales – Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards. Handle cash, including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customers. Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
• Inventory – Be the keeper of merchandise, complete all inventory processes, and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed. Participate in periodic inventories.
• Dependability – Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete work assignments accurately and fully.
• Other Duties – Perform as assigned.

• Product Knowledge – Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
• Experience – Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal and communication skills; read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management; telephone etiquette.
• Mathematical Skills – Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Reasoning Ability – Ability to multi‑task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business; work as part of a team and take initiative independently of direct supervision.
• Physical Demands – Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, standing for at least two consecutive hours; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders; lifting 25–50 lbs; indoor or outdoor; vision and color vision required.
• Desired Attributes – Enthusiastic, friendly, energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service.

Flexible (0–19.5 hours). Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
