This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Anthropologist Lecturer at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. The lecturer will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and thoughtful anthropology courses with a focus on medical anthropology. The role involves curriculum development, conducting and publishing scholarly research, mentoring and advising students, and participating in departmental meetings and university activities.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of Medical Anthropology, general anthropology, and relevant subfields
- Experience in curriculum design, research, and academic writing
- Excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to mentor, guide, and collaborate with students and colleagues effectively
- Ph.D. in Anthropology with expertise in Medical Anthropology or related field
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, justice, and academic excellence
- Previous teaching experience in higher education is highly desirable
