Position: Roman Catholic Musician
Location: Newport, RI 02841
Responsibilities- Collaborate with clergy to choose suitable music for Masses and events, adhering to Catholic liturgical guidelines
- Recruit and coordinate volunteer musicians, including choir members and instrumentalists
- Plan and lead rehearsals to prepare for services
- Work with pastoral teams to integrate music into worship, creating a harmonious liturgical experience
- Lead musical elements during Masses and encourage congregational participation
- Promote spiritual and musical growth among musicians
- Maintain equipment and music resources
- Foster community within the music ministry and coordinate activities with other church ministries
- Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music
- Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and music traditions
- Experience in choral conducting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Dedication to enhancing worship through music
