The Ion Center is looking for compassionate individuals to support and serve victim-survivors residing in our Northern Kentucky shelter. Residential Crisis Intervention Specialists play a key role in the services we provide through case management and goal setting, leading group sessions, maintaining facility cleanliness, answering hotline calls, and addressing other needs as they arise. The Residential Crisis Intervention Specialist (2nd Shift) works 4 days each week from either 12pm-10pm or 1pm-11pm. The scheduled days would either be Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, based on the needs of the agency.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Site and Program Management, provides full range of crisis intervention and case management services to primary and secondary survivors of crime, with a special focus on victims of partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking, assisting victims to work towards safety and self-sufficiency.

• Knowledge and skills at a level typically acquired through obtaining a degree from an accredited college/university; or high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years related experience.
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care.
• Ability to work under highly stressful, crisis-oriented situations.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Outstanding empathetic and listening skills.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate on a team.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Complete trainings for funding requirements and knowledge building.
• Must be a minimum age of 18.

• Speaking, seeing, hearing, standing, writing, walking, including climbing steps, carry, pull, lift, stoop, kneel
• Using related office equipment keyboard and monitor, camera, copier, fax, phones, etc.
• This position may involve exposure to infectious diseases and stressful situations.
