Test Development Engineer
Are you passionate about electronics and ready to take the next step in your career? This is an opportunity to join a team that genuinely invests in your growth, values your ideas, and gives you the space to make a real impact.
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative environment where initiative is encouraged, and your contributions are recognised. This is a place where you can take ownership of your work, expand your technical capabilities, and build a long-term career.
As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting production test equipment for functional testing and leading new product introductions (NPI). You’ll apply and develop your electronics hardware expertise while contributing to innovative, high-value projects.
If you’ve ever felt under‑utilised or ready for more responsibility, this role gives you the platform to shine.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing and maintaining automated and manual test procedures for electronic equipment and assemblies
Designing and commissioning test fixtures, hardware, and software for in-circuit, functional, and system-level testing
Collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to ensure product testability and manufacturability
Analysing test data, identifying failure trends, and driving corrective actions to improve product quality
Supporting new product introductions by creating and validating test solutions aligned with customer requirements
Providing technical support and training to production test technicians and engineers
Maintaining documentation for test procedures, equipment, and results
This is not an exhaustive list — you’ll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
Experience developing test solutions for electronic assemblies (ideally within contract manufacturing)
Proficiency in test software development (LabVIEW, Test Stand, Python, C/C++)
Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCB design, and fault‑finding
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other test equipment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Experience
Automated test equipment (ATE) and fixture design
Familiarity with IPC standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.)
Knowledge of EMC, safety, and regulatory compliance testing
Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume or subcontract manufacturing environments
