Location: Newport, Shropshire

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)

An established and growing independent accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its professional team in their Newport, Shropshire office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while progressing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines

• ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation and relevant software
• Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload independently
