Job Summary
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has a permanent healthcare assistant opportunity to support the nursing team. Hours can be flexible and offered on a full or part-time basis; please apply to discuss.
Under the direct supervision of the lead nurse and in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols, you will assist the clinical team in providing prescribed programmes of patient care. The healthcare assistant will apply clinical skills and knowledge to carry out high quality practice within designated clinical areas. The role offers opportunity to build experience, skills and competence within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

- Venepuncture and phlebotomy checks.
- New patient health checks.
- Clearing and restocking consulting rooms.
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during minor operations.
- Providing health promotion and education for service users, their families and carers.
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is a large training practice based in Newport Pagnell, with two further sites in the area. We have 30,000+ patients and own PCN, The Bridge. We support learning and development and can offer NHS pension as part of the employment package.
