Relief Driver – Non CDL

Job Description

Route relief drivers are truck drivers that work a full-time work schedule. This position is a Monday through Friday (sometimes Saturday work schedule). Responsibilities often involve driving a route when a route driver is not available, maintaining contact with supervisors, and delivering product to the customer. You will be responsible for turning in all invoices and checks at the end of each route that you deliver.

You will also load and unload trucks, depending on the nature of the route. All applicable traffic laws must be obeyed and all state and federal regulations. Starting time is 4:30 am until load is finished. Routes are located within the Peninsula and Southside areas of Virginia.

• Roll product off the truck into our customer’s stores
• Deliver product in a timely and courteous manner to our customers
• Responsible for operating company equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
• Check product in, pick up invoices and payment
• Route: local; home daily

• Must have a current VA Driver’s License;
  This is a Non-CDL
• Must be at least 21 years old
• No previous experience required
• The physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift and up to 170 lbs when handling keg products
• Ability to be on time, reliable with regular attendance
• Meet approved driver criteria. Absolutely no DUI or DWI. A copy of your driving record must accompany you at the time of the interview.
• Must maintain acceptable MVR while employed.
