Position Overview

The RoleAs a Deck Electrician we install, repair, overhaul, and test electrical systems aboard the ship. Responsibilities include working with lighting, power distribution, communication, or navigation systems, reading and interpreting complex schematics, and performing a variety of tasks such as hook‑ups, wire‑way rack installation, equipment rebuilding, electronic control installation, preventive maintenance, and welding of studs for mounting equipment.
Must Have- Ability to work at extreme heights or in small, confined spaces.
- Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and pass a respirator fit test.
- Workind indoors/outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions.
- Work assigned shift as production needs.
- Pass a Physical Agility Test.
- Successful completion of an electrical, technical, mechanical or vocational program or related military training, OR at least 1 year of experience as a commercial, residential, industrial or marine electrician, or equivalent mechanical, carpentry, auto‑mechanics, roofing, or computer/IT experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
