Job Title

Laborer – IMIA, LLC

Perform routine physical labor such as moving materials, tools, and equipment; cleaning equipment, vehicles, machinery, and work areas; operating pneumatic, electric, and hand tools; brush‑roll or hand‑brush painting; assisting blasters by pulling hoses, mucking tanks, and removing grit.

May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor to complete the job safely and on time.

• Perform routine physical work under close supervision.
• Follow oral and written instruction from supervisor or more experienced worker.
• Move materials, tools, and equipment manually or with dolly, hand truck, cart, or forklift.
• Muck tanks, pull hoses, and remove grit using vacuum hoses or bucket.
• Clean equipment, vehicles, machinery, and work areas with water and cleaning agents, vacuums, hoses, brushes, cloths, or other equipment.
• Operate pneumatic tools, electric tools, and hand tools.
• Perform other duties as required for job completion in a safe and timely manner.
• All tasks are performed with safety as a priority.

• Cooperate and work well with other employees and shipyard personnel.
• Take direction from supervisors or more experienced workers.

Regularly walk; frequently stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl at various heights and in confined spaces; occasionally sit.

Reach with hands and arms; use hands to feel, grip, or handle; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Use vision to see up close, distance, and peripherally, with good depth perception and focus in low light. May wear a respirator as needed.

Carry out simple to complex instructions safely and efficiently.

Repetitive, physical work exposed to dust, extreme temperatures, high noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous machinery. Work often on scaffolds and ladders; safety clothing and devices required. Shift work and overtime common; travel often required.
