The Lead Technician oversees advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on cranes and heavy equipment, combining hands‑on expertise with leadership responsibilities. The role includes mentoring technicians, coordinating workflow, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities- Perform and oversee complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on cranes and related equipment.
- Lead and support a team of technicians by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Review schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct final inspections and testing of repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure proper documentation of work performed and maintain accurate service records.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.
- Assist in planning and scheduling shop activities to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or crane repair, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Skilled in welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and work overtime or on‑call as needed.
