Join our HII Mission Technologies team as a Team Lead for the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) program of a nuclear‑powered aircraft carrier. You will lead the RCOH Aircraft Career Climate Improvement Team (ACCCIT) in overseeing the overhaul and repairs of the ventilation system to ensure the Navy’s carriers incorporate improved capabilities for the next 25 years of service.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams for installations and repairs within or across technical trades specialties.
- Manage, oversee, schedule, and assign tasks to one or more jobs.
- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Analyze and evaluate products and performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions quickly.
- Install, upgrade, and remove products while coordinating engineering field changes and maintaining effective customer communication.
- Provide onsite training to customer support personnel.
- High School education, Trade School, or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience, including at least 2 years of team/deck lead experience. Prefer technical/professional certifications.
- Must provide own hand tools as designated per trade specialty.
- Must understand the Tag‑out Procedure.
- Must exhibit leadership experience and past work experience managing teams performing trades.
- Preferred technical/professional certifications in the mechanical field.
- Educational background in ventilation systems operation.
- Exhibit leadership, communication, and ethical decision‑making skills.
Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes (≥30 lbs). Able to work on and climb ladders, operate in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions, and in confined spaces. May require high heat, humidity, noise, and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels, and riding ships at sea for extended periods.
May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside the continental United States.
