Responsibilities
- Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs.
- Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications.
- Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time).
- Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
- Engages with customers when opportunities arise, including understanding needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise; listening to and responding to questions; and providing sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- Maintains in-stock conditions, moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, builds products, and displays products with support materials using power equipment per reset and project instructions.
- Identifies damaged products, removes them from shelves, delivers to Return to Manufacturer (RTM) area, and signs off as defective; verifies buyback items and ensures they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
- Identifies damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral and orders replacements per merchandising standards and planogram details; ensures pricing information is visible and resolves/replaces missing pricing labels.
- Updates/validates way finding and product location signage; maintains digital information across the store; ensures cross-merchandising and appropriate placement of related products to drive add-on sales.
- Works with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale; sorts products for proper location; merchandises to plantogram, prices, and places plants according to planograms; prepares plant racks for grand opening readiness.
- Maintains clean and safe stores; completes and records task details (timing, amount of time spent, photos) for all assigned merchandise resets, service, and maintenance tasks; ensures displays are safe and operational.
- Repairs/seals damaged packaging and boxes; removes trash and debris; replaces light bulbs and reports additional maintenance issues as needed.
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection; adheres to housekeeping standards (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Maintains a safe work environment; conducts daily safety reviews, notes hazards, keeps aisles clear, and secures doors and gates; follows safety requirements relevant to role (e.g., top stock safety, safety cables, aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment).
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on the role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, paging system, copiers, computers, CCTV, power equipment).
- Performs other duties as assigned and maintains point-of-sale signage, bin/beam label stock, and pricing changes; follows pricing guidelines and policies.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience as applicable.
- 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
- 6 months of product merchandising experience (reading planograms/plantograms, setting up/taking down displays).
- 3 months of experience operating power equipment (e.g., lifts, order pickers).
