Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) is actively seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

TPMG Behavioral Health is a busy, established out‑patient office seeking to grow their clinical team. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner team‑player who is an expert with medication management and building therapeutic rapport. Must demonstrate having a person‑centered approach to delivering quality patient care, have the ability to recognize his/her own limitations when responding to difficult situations, collaborate effectively with the clinical/management team, and skillfully work in a self‑motivated and independent manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members as well as with patients. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with treating general adult/geriatric population and working well with a consulting psychiatrist. On‑call is quarterly low volume and telephone only.

• Candidates with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred – new or experienced
• Will consider Nurse Practitioners with over 12 months of experience working primarily with psychiatric patients
• The ideal candidate currently possesses or has the ability to obtain DEA, licensed to practice in State of Virginia, and a current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to see 15‑18 patients per day (or more based on the candidate’s efficiency)
• Candidates must have a VA license
