Travel Critical Care Registered Nurse

Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Stepdown care, based in Newport News, VA. This role offers a travel assignment with a focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care in critical and step-down patient settings. Candidates will work predominantly night shifts, engaging in complex patient monitoring and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and stepdown units
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide comprehensive assessments

• Current RN licensure with ICU and/or Stepdown experience preferred
• Proven ability to handle acute and complex patient care efficiently
• Strong critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
