Newport News Behavioral Health Center is a 108‑bed intensive and highly structured residential treatment facility for adolescent males and females aged 11‑18 years. The center provides on‑site certified schooling, therapy, and vocational programming. Newport News, VA offers a beautiful seaside setting, rich maritime history, and convenient access to DC and other major Northeastern cities.
Compensation and Signing Bonus- Up to $10,000.00 sign‑on bonus
- Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate nursing care to manage the care milieu.
- Participate in the provision of nursing care directed toward meeting the psychosocial, physical, and communicational needs of patients.
- Conduct nursing assessments, including psychosocial factors, family information, nursing diagnosis, substance‑abuse history, suicide history, medication use, and hospitalization goals.
- Ensure all admission assessments are signed by an RN.
- Initiate a nursing care plan within 24 hours of admission.
- Identify patient symptoms requiring medical attention or behavior changes and communicate these to the Program Director and attending physician.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program for registered nurses and hold a valid RN license in the state of Virginia.
