• Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Determine the priority of the patient’s problems and needs
• Implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care
• Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate, evidence-based, patient-focused action
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications safely in line with practice standards and policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred at hire and ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred at hire; required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units
• 1 year of RN experience required
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department (preferred)
