*** This one-year program is designed for newly graduating Acute Care trained NP’s or PA who are interested in developing a career in Critical Care Medicine. Successful completion of this program will facilitate a comprehensive transition to practice for a novice provider.

** All final applicants will undergo a preliminary TEAMs interview with onsite panel interviews scheduled in March/April 2026. Final candidate selection.Fellowship start date will be late summer/Fall 2026.

** Prompts include** (but not limited to): why you wish to complete a postgrad fellowship in critical care, unique qualities that will make you a successful candidate
· Three Email contacts for reference: 1 should be a physician colleague, 1 academic reference and 1 preceptor reference. References will be contacted directly by our program for an electronic survey or phone call.
This program is designed as a post-graduate specialty focused 1 year fellowship. It will include a minimum 6-month rotation in our Medical ICU with the remaining time spent in structured rotations to facilitate knowledge and competence in critical care. Candidates will work primarily at the Riverside Regional Medical Center campus.
Progress throughout the program will be guided by structured evaluations and continuous feedback from faculty and mentors.
Didactic presentations will occur regularly alongside additional assignments/testing validations. Expectations include the completion of a Process Improvement culmination project to be determined jointly by the fellow and faculty. Fellows will be expected to present case studies on a routine basis to review diagnostic and testing plans for a variety of patients.
Work shifts are anticipated to be 10-12 hours in length during the program. Interested candidates should be willing to learn in a fast-paced environment, be self-directed and flexible to meet the patient care needs in Critical Care.

** Nurse Practitioner- master’s in nursing
Nurse Practitioner License Nurse Practitioner certification in Acute Care, or Acute Care Adult Gerontology NP required.
Physician Assistant - master’s degree
Physician Assistant License Physician Assistant Certification
