Alpha Wound Care is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of two years of wound care experience to lead our Virginia Beach clinic. The ideal candidate must be licensed by the state and have a strong background in wound care and management. This role requires leadership and clinical expertise to oversee daily operations alongside our medical assistants while ensuring exceptional patient care.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Registered Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, managing support staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various nursing specialties, including inpatient care and memory care.
QualificationsCertified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or equivalent certification
Experience in wound care nursing or a related field
Advanced knowledge of wound care treatments and technologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Knowledge of current wound care research and protocols
Experience in patient education and support
Leadership skills for training and mentoring junior staff
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or associate degree in nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong clinical assessment skills
Ability to perform wound care procedures, including debridement
Proficiency in wound assessment and documentation
Physical stamina to perform wound care tasks
Commitment to continuous education and training in wound care
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and evaluate patient wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment
Develop and implement individualized wound care plans with medical director
Clean and dress wounds, ensuring sterile techniques are followed
Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
Educate patients and their families on wound care best practices and infection prevention
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care
Perform debridement and other wound care procedures as required
Stay updated with the latest wound care research, techniques, and products
Manage wound care supplies and ensure their availability
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Conduct regular follow-up appointments to monitor healing and make necessary adjustments to care plans
Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards
