HII's Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia. We are the sole designer, builder and refueler of U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines. The Role- Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel.
- Provides training to improve quality and quantity of work performed.
- Recommends training and develops training procedures.
- Breaks broad strategies into actionable plans and ensures employee training.
- Ensures compliance with technical aspects, drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
- Manages manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and process operations with significant financial impact.
- Monitors job and budget performance for all shifts.
Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 to new foreman hires. Current employees who qualify for the requisition are also eligible.
Must Have- BS/Apprentice OR High School diploma with 6 years related trade experience.
