We are seeking to hire a reliable, dependable and knowledgeable Quality Assurance Inspector 1 to monitor quality standards and perform quality inspections to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

7 days a week from 6:00AM-2:30PM.
Duties and responsibilities- Establishing quality standards for services the company offers
- Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
- Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
- Inspecting and testing the materials and services provided by company
- Using gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure products
- Removing products and services that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality
- Accepting or rejecting finished products and services and discussing inspection results with the production team
- Performing inspections at random to assess service quality
- SSPC NBPI or NACE 1 and 2+ years coating inspection experience preferably in the Marine industry (Higher certifications and experience level is preferred)
- Applicants must have experience and knowledge of the industry standards for surface preparation and coating applications and knowledge of basic QA equipment (SSPC/AMPP).
- Individual selected for this job will be inspecting blasted steel and marine coatings.
- High level of documentation required for the coating process and this individual will be providing those inspections and maintaining those records.
- Must be familiar with basic computer skills such as but not limited to:
Spreadsheet software, word processing software, email management, data entry, productivity software etc.
- Climbing, crawling, and squatting in numerous confined spaces
- This could also include working from elevated heights or from aerial equipment such as JLGs
- Applicant should have knowledge of industry standards pertaining to blast and paint process. (SSPC Standards)
Applicants must be able to pass a background check; have valid REAL be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
