HUTCO, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipe fitters with at least three years of experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petrochemical industries. The role involves fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping in challenging environments, including shipboard and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities and Requirements:Read and interpret ship piping drawings
Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping
Perform end preparation of piping by hand or using Wach or Portsmouth machines
Install pipe hangers
Use rulers proficiently for measurements in inches and tenths
Prepare and fit backing rings
Cut or break pipes cleanly with grinders
Hand prep V-bevels on pipes
Fabricate assemblies and details from drawings
Bend pipes using templates and hand benders
Fit welded sockets and brazed joints (with or without insert rings)
