CTR Group is seeking a Paint Line General Laborer in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

Position Summary

Duties:

Apply powder coating finish to metal parts in an automated and/or manual electrostatic powder coating booth.

Produce the maximum number of coated parts in minimum time by working efficiently.

Use correct powder per customer specification - ability to read basic blueprint is helpful.

Monitor quality during production.

Keep production records. Daily record of parts, colors used, maintenance performed, and any problems occurring and addressed.

Monitor and adjust wash line water quality daily and as needed, and keep records.

Maintain equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions; complete preventive maintenance requirements and schedules.

Follow company procedures and safety rules.

Communicate with management and production employees about production schedule.

Requirements:

have a complete working knowledge of proper powder spraying techniques;

be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and vendors as needed;

be able to lift up to 50 lbs;

Be able to identify color and texture;

be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;

be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant;

be able to pass general, physical, and respirator medical evaluation.
