This position will maintain various floors by performing floor maintenance duties using various floor maintenance equipment and supplies.

Departmental Objective: Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining campus buildings utilizing the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades as well as housekeeping and floor maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
• Skilled in the use of floor maintenance equipment and supplies
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to work in teams
• Good organization skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students
• Ability to work from 9 pm – 6 am, Monday – Friday

Conditions of Employment:

• This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12-month probationary period
• Selected candidate must attend a 2-day New Employee Orientation Program
• Ability to work from 9 pm – 6 am, Monday – Friday

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Education: High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma

Experience: Experience with floor maintenance and floor maintenance equipment;
Experience with cleaning methods and cleaning supplies

Experience: Experience working at a university

Salary Information: Starting at $31,200, Commensurate with Education and Experience.
