Serve Others and Own It - Meets or exceeds customer expectations in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Visits customers' homes as needed to repair furniture
- Ensures that all warehouse repair policies and procedures are followed
- Ensures that the appropriate team member is informed of any item that cannot be repaired
- Receives returned and/or damaged furniture items, assesses condition to determine whether the item is repairable
- Follows established procedures to dispose of unsalvageable items
- Furniture repair experience including upholstery repair, leather repair and wood repair
- Must have a good working knowledge of power tools including, but not limited to: table saw, drill press, belt sander, router, circular saw, screw guns, hand drills and heat guns
- Ensures that all safety procedures are being followed
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Track record of serving others and putting team goals first
- Owners' mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility
- Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
- Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment
