Senior Manager, Technical Program Management – Newport News

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree – Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical programs
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
• More than 5 years of expertise in data engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in data architecture
• Over 3 years of experience in developing distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS
• More than 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies
• At least 3 years of experience delivering large and complex projects, with ownership of business or technical vision, collaboration with extensive cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and facilitating business impact
• Experience in developing systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
• Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline (such as Computer Science or Software Engineering)

• Lead programs to achieve crucial business objectives and develop large-scale products and platforms
• Support the Finance Tech Leadership and Support Team by driving key initiatives related to the integration between Discover and Capital One
• Collaborate with business and product teams to manage and deliver a dynamic roadmap successfully
• Ensure successful program delivery by leveraging a deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and data modeling using cloud solutions
• Facilitate the growth of the Technical Program Management discipline within the team by sharing industry knowledge and best practices
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project delivery lifecycle
• Foster exceptional communication and teamwork across cross-functional areas
• Drive a results-oriented approach with a strong focus on execution and accountability
