OverviewThe iCare Senior Application Analyst will serve as a leader providing expert and innovative solutions to end user requirements. Responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and implementation of Epic applications. Utilizes a broad knowledge of multiple iCare Applications, data/workflow, and clinical/business processes to ensure the successful integration between practice and the relevant Epic application. The Sr. Analyst guides and coordinates analysts across multiple applications throughout the project life cycle, researches, resolves, and responds to inquiries during deployment and ongoing support phases.
The Sr. Analyst works closely with Epic Application Analysts, Project Managers, Epic Team members, and Trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality.
Senior Analyst must be able to provide 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis for application issue resolution.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive technical and clinical/operational expertise in the design, programming, testing, and implementation of relevant applications.
- Validate and determine if the problem, need, or issue is application, training, or technical related; gather and organize relevant information to resolve incidents.
- Communicate clearly and precisely with team members and stakeholders; maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and service status reports.
- Lead one or more Integrated Work groups and serve as an active member of 1-2 Integrated Work groups.
- Perform quality assurance, application, and integrated testing on all builds; document testing results and ensure test scripts match end user workflows.
- Participate in and support training development; provide updates needed on existing material and assist with identifying team members affected by changes.
- Optimize the design of Epic to meet the needs of end-users; recommend and implement Epic's best practices to increase adoption rates.
- Maintain Epic Certification/New Version Training (NVT); complete system maintenance items, root cause analysis, and provide technology solutions and training opportunities.
- Education:
Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Sciences, or Clinical Role OR Technical License OR High School Diploma with 8 years of progressive health care experience, preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network (Required) - Experience:
3 years of full-time hands-on Epic systems build experience with at least one application area and at least one Epic training/certification (Required). 5 years of progressive healthcare experience, preferably in an Integrated Network (Required). Led 1 or more integrated work groups and active member of 1-2 Integrated Work groups (Required).
