Overview

Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Human Resources Manager. This position will be located in Williamsburg, VA and will report to the HR Operations Manager.

The selected candidate will be required to excel as a member of the HR Team; supporting company initiatives and administering HR programs to all associates, while providing exceptional levels of strategic HR partnership to plant leadership.

It is expected that the successful candidate will manage the Human Resources function at the facility including the development and execution of HR strategy and objectives as well as work with the Plant Leadership Team to achieve plant goals and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Development & Performance Management:
    Partner with learning and development teams to develop training strategies aligned with business goals
  • Talent Development & Performance Management:
    Deliver 1:1 and small group training on leadership and professional development topics
  • Talent Development & Performance Management:
    Lead annual performance review process and coach managers on constructive feedback, high-potential identification, and underperformance coaching
  • Talent Development & Performance Management:
    Guide leaders on performance coaching, PIPs, IDPs, talent reviews, succession planning, and merit planning
  • Recruitment & Strategic Workforce Planning:
    Plan and implement recruitment and selection efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition and business units
  • Recruitment & Strategic Workforce Planning:
    Educate hiring managers about selection processes and provide hiring recommendations
  • Recruitment & Strategic Workforce Planning:
    Take proactive measures to ensure workforce diversity
  • Recruitment & Strategic Workforce Planning:
    Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational redesign, job analysis, and promotions
  • Compensation & Benefits Leadership:
    Approve offer letters and collaborate with the recruiting team and hiring managers to implement the compensation philosophy
  • Compensation & Benefits Leadership:
    Conduct internal equity analysis both locally and across the company
  • Compensation & Benefits Leadership:
    Manage the annual merit increase process and recommend promotions and off-cycle pay increases
  • Compensation & Benefits Leadership:
    Manage and lead all benefit activities and communications, including open enrollment and wellness programs
  • Compliance & Strategic HR Management:
    Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and corporate policies/procedures
  • Compliance & Strategic HR Management:
    Manage complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and progressive discipline processes
  • Compliance & Strategic HR Management:
    Lead implementation of strategic HR plan and design HR programs to support Printpack culture
  • Compliance & Strategic HR Management:
    Analyze data across HR systems to identify trends and guide decision-making
  • Compliance & Strategic HR Management:
    Develop presentations and communicate analysis to leadership teams
  • Program Management and Community Relations:
    Drive safety programs and steward a culture of safety
  • Program Management and Community Relations:
    Support local Social Responsibility programs as needed
  • Program Management and Community Relations:
    Support local Food Safety initiatives and programs as necessary
  • Program Management and Community Relations:
    Support and uphold the Printpack Statement of Philosophy and Expectations of Our Leaders
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education&

    Experience:

    Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills
  • Previous Supervisory Experience preferred
  • HRCertification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • Experience in employee relations, conflict management, investigations, and coaching at all levels
  • Proficiency in HR systems, compliance requirements, compensation management, and talent strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Business acumen and a thorough understanding of organizational hierarchy and compensation practices
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and coaching skills
  • Data analysis and presentation skills with strategic planning abilities
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking for complex situation analysis
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Advanced data analysis and presentation capabilities
  • Training facilitation and coaching capabilities
  • Investigation and conflict resolution expertise
