Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview

Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings. Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral. Prepares rating on applicants, makes recommendations on starting salaries, and provides applicants with information on the company. May administer tests and interpret results, check references, arrange transportation of selected applicants, extend formal job offers, work with outside agencies and vendors, etc.

• Interview applicants and refer to appropriate job openings.
• Evaluate employment factors (experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications).
• Prepare ratings on applicants and provide salary recommendations.
• Provide applicants with information about the company.
• May administer tests, interpret results, check references, and arrange transportation for selected applicants.
• Extend formal job offers and collaborate with outside agencies and vendors as needed.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced recruiting environment (not full-desk).
• Must be able to meet monthly hiring quotas for various trades departments.
• Must be comfortable interviewing applicants all day (via phone or face-to-face).
• Must be able to work in a cubicle environment.
