An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Stepdown care, based in Newport News, VA. This role offers a travel assignment with a focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care in critical and step-down patient settings. Candidates will work predominantly night shifts, engaging in complex patient monitoring and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and stepdown units
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide comprehensive assessments
- Current RN licensure with ICU and/or Stepdown experience preferred
- Proven ability to handle acute and complex patient care efficiently
- Strong critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
