** Overview
* * The Respiratory Therapy (RT) Team Lead is responsible for the daily clinical operations of respiratory care services throughout the organization. The supervisor will serve as a resource to team members and physicians to improve patient care outcomes. The RT Supervisor is responsible for safety and quality in all aspects of services provided while ensuring the compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation standards, and assists leadership in maintaining the highest degree of clinical/operational performance.

This position provides safe and effective respiratory care as an advanced Respiratory Therapist for assigned patient population in accordance with discipline training, Clinical Practice Guidelines, and hospital standards and protocols.

** What you will do*
* * Demonstrates intermediate to advanced technical knowledge/clinical competency in clinical practice as evidenced by the ability to assume a role in the provision of care as needed.
* Demonstrates the ability to address staff concerns, provide resources, and follow-through.
* Builds credibility with multidisciplinary staff and physicians by maintaining knowledge, quality, and professional practice/service aligned with the mission, vision, and values of RHS. Promote and assist in improving policies and protocols to maintain and inspire independent critical thinking skills. Able to address staff and physician issues and concerns with timely follow-ups- within 72 hours of presentation.
* Holds self and others accountable in delivering comprehensive, quality, and personal patient/customer care needs by upholding patient safety standards, standards of excellence, and the Riverside Code of Conduct through communicating safety goals, cross checking, encouraging safe behavior and evidence-based practice
* Possesses and demonstrates immediate to advanced technical knowledge and clinical competence in Respiratory Therapy by assuming a role in patient care as needed. Assures that policies and procedures remain current and consistent with updated guidelines. Evaluates and monitors adherence to policies and procedures through audits, observations, and timely feedback while maintaining progressive and evidence-based practice.  
** Qualifications*
* ** Education*
* * Associates Degree, or higher in Respiratory Therapy/Science (Required)
* Bachelors Degree, Health Sciences or Health/Business Administration (Required)
* Masters Degree, related field or administration and clinical specialty certifications (Preferred)  
** Experience*
* * 3-4 years progressive clinical or leadership experience as respiratory therapist  (Required)
* 3-4 years critical care clinical experience in respiratory care (Required)  
** Licenses and Certifications*
* * Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)  Virginia (Required)
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Required)
* CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC)   (Required)
* PALS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC)   within 180 Days(Required)
* AAM certification within 180 Days (Required)
