OSC Physical Therapy Center has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Physical Therapy to manage our outpatient orthopaedic clinic. The Director is responsible for the day‑to‑day function of the clinic, statistical reporting on overall patient numbers and productivity, direct supervision of all staff and their respective duties including:
Physical Therapists, LPTA, PT techs, Clinic Supervisor, Front Desk, students, volunteers, community relations/marketing, customer service and patient care/satisfaction.
- Completion of accredited Physical Therapy program — Masters or Doctorate Level Preferred
- Current Licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility to obtain Virginia State Licensure
- 3 years of experience required. 1 year of experience managing an outpatient physical therapy clinic preferred.
- Strong organization and time management skills required
- Master's (Preferred)
- Virginia State License (Preferred)
- Management of clinic finances – review Profit and Loss statements on a monthly basis, compare to industry benchmarks, and make adjustments as necessary
- Develop and maintain monthly clinic productivity metrics – compare to industry benchmarks and make adjustments as necessary
- Management of staff productivity
- Remain up to date with current insurance billing practices and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all coding and documentation standards and guidelines
- Oversee Continuing education, HIPAA and Safety training for staff
- Oversee staff recruiting efforts with the help of OSC Human Resources and Administration
- Promote and foster PT, Physician, other related provider relationships and communication with OSC managers and the Administrator
- Development of clinic and treatment protocols
- Development of various clinic and patient related programs
- Project management and marketing
- Maintaining ethical and legal standards related to patient care and professional guidelines
- Bi-weekly payroll duties
- Professional development of the staff
- Maintain a patient schedule for evaluation and treatment of patients; evaluate, diagnose, manage and treat movement dysfunction/disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system
- Evaluation, examination, diagnosis and prognosis
- Medical screening
- Documentation (evaluation, reevaluations and progress notes)
- Effective communication with other healthcare practitioners
- Supervision and delegation of duties to LPTA and PT Techs
- Maintain professional licensure
- Demonstrate proficiency in BLS/CPR
