Overview

The CT Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing CT exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.

Location: Newport News, Virginia

Hours: Labor Pool (as needed)

Responsibilities include:

Assisting radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures, selecting proper protocols, and providing clinical documentation.

Ensuring safety and quality, following policies, procedures, and protocols using safety behaviors, and preparing equipment and supplies.

Adhering to regulatory and accrediting standards, reporting variances.

Coordinating patient care, performing assessments, actions, documentation, and maintaining supplies.

Being detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience: CT experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT CT) - Upon Hire (Required)
CPR/BLS Certification - Upon Hire (Required)

Non-Registered candidates must have ARRT (R), CNMT, or ARRT (CT) registry within 2 years, and CPR/BLS certification.
