Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Financial Controller for our manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our financial management, which includes all aspects of accounting and finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial functions, including general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, accounts payable, expenses, payroll, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The role also involves financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, financial planning, cost accounting, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all company accounts and investments.
  • Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Managing cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
  • Supervising and managing financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
  • Motivating and leading finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
  • Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
  • Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
  • Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
  • Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Developing budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
  • Reviewing all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
  • Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Professional certification such as CFA/CPA.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a financial controller role within the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP, Net Suite).
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience in managing all accounting and finance functions.
  • Experience with financial auditing and PCAOB audit.
  • A multinational experience is a must.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of data privacy standards.
