The selected candidate will operate critical equipment and systems that provide production trades plant services, such as low‑ and high‑pressure steam, low- and high‑pressure compressed air, river water, and demineralized water. The person must be a team player, highly motivated and work with minimal supervision. This position requires working a rotating shift including holidays and weekends.
Must Have- Hold a valid Driver’s License
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and technical specifications and/or equipment operating manuals
- Work the assigned shift as production needs
- Basic knowledge of plant operations, computers, electrical, pipe fitting, and troubleshooting control systems
- High school graduate preferred
- Previous military experience with boiler operations and associated systems along with experience in plant operations involving air compressors or water pumping system is a plus, but not required
- Experience with maintenance and repair of steam operating 600 psi and above marine‑type boilers
- A solid understanding of a basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, burner management systems, pumps, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors, and generation of demineralized water
