Civil Engineering, Structural Engineer
The Hybrid Structural Engineer role offers flexible work arrangements, combining remote and on-site responsibilities in a field support capacity.
Responsibilities- Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and reinforced concrete design.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary peers, guiding less experienced team members.
- Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support drawing development.
- Use state‑of‑the‑art software to analyze and design steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
- Occasionally travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and construction coordination.
- BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- MS degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus from an ABET‑accredited program, or at least 1 year of project‑team design and analysis experience.
- Experience with structural analysis tools such as STAAD, SAP
2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS. - Familiarity with design codes and standards (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
