The Role

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Must

Have
  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years of exempt experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to a bachelor's degree to meet minimum qualifications:
    • NNS Apprentice School graduate
    • High school and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
    • Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School
Nice to Have

Plans, develops, and coordinates O38 product training programs for field support radiography. Obtains information needed to prepare O38 training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids/mock-ups to include radiography technique training consisting of TC-1-A and 250-1500. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in the Radiographers Assistant requirements and the Industrial Radiographers Radiation Safety Program (IRRSP) criteria/regulations.

Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revises training material to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
