O41/O48 CRANE ENGINEER ELECTRICAL 4
Group:
Crane Engineering and Quality Engineering – overseeing certification and repairs of bridge, gantry, whirler, and mobile cranes. The primary responsibility is developing and issuing technical directions after thorough on-site troubleshooting and evaluations. Some circuit design may be required. The candidate will work closely with maintenance departments and will occasionally be on call, with infrequent shift rotation or weekend work as determined by the program.
- Certify and repair bridge, gantry, whirler, and mobile cranes.
- Develop and issue technical directions after troubleshooting and evaluations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and 9 years of relevant exempt experience.
- Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
- Climbing and working at heights is common.
- Candidate should have significant electrical engineering experience with electrical system design, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and/or crane/lifting and handling equipment.
- Supports crane breakdown response and certification cycles.
- Experience with VFD driven motors and radio controls for both AC & DC systems.
- Preferred proficiency in PLC programming, Auto CAD, and relevant electrical engineering software.
- Preferred to have knowledge of electrical codes, standard, and regulations.
- Self‑motivated with strong leadership, effective communication, and computer skills are essential.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- Strong project management, collaboration, and organizational skills are preferred.
- Candidates may need the ability to attain a security clearance and be TLD qualified.
