HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Large Vessel Capability (LVC) enterprise. The role requires extensive expertise in Navy electrical distribution systems and a strong foundation in data analysis, test support, and engineering documentation.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
- Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
- Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and preliminary analyses of data, as governed by assigned guidelines.
- Use a personal computer in the performance of analyses and the development of documentation and reports.
- Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
- AA or 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline with 3 years of related experience, or high school graduate with 5 years of DoD/USN experience.
- Prior U.S. Navy experience with electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience with 450/115 VAC power distribution equipment.
- Experience with 400 Hz and 60 Hz power systems.
- Experience with the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ABT’s, MBT’s, transformers, voltage regulators, frequency converters, and temperature monitoring systems.
Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
