Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems for submarine manufacturing. Lead projects evaluating advanced manufacturing tools and systems to reduce cost and lead time for the SSN(X) program.

• Research and development of advanced manufacturing tools and systems.
• Assess and develop large‑scale tooling systems, including cost‑benefit, risk, and requirements management.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply mechanical, thermal hydraulic, or heat transfer principles to production systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and 9 years of exempt experience; or Master’s degree and 7 years of professional experience; or Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
• Experience managing large engineering projects and interfacing with customers.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Experience with heavy steel manufacturing.
• Process automation experience.
