• Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications.
• Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes.
• Prepares technical documentation for waterfront welding processes, including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions.
• Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures to substantiate welding theories.
• Acts as a technical leader and welding SME supporting high‑visibility LMI quality investigations within NNS.

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program plus 14 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master’s Degree plus 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ph.D. plus 9 years of experience.

• Current Engineer Welding 4 with extensive experience within department E37.
