*** This one-year program is designed for newly graduating Acute Care trained NP’s or PA who are interested in developing a career in Acute Care Medicine.  Successful completion of this program will facilitate a comprehensive transition to practice for a novice provider.

This program is designed as a post-graduate specialty focused 1 year fellowship.

The Acute Care Advanced Practice Fellowship is an immersive, post‑graduate training program designed for motivated advanced practice providers who are eager to build confidence, competence, and clinical excellence in high‑acuity, fast‑paced healthcare environments. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain broad, hands-on experience while working alongside expert clinicians in a supportive, learning-focused setting.

Fellows are exposed to a wide range of complex medical and surgical conditions through structured clinical rotations in:
* Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
* Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
* Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgery
* Hospital Medicine
* Cardiology* Urology
* Gastroenterology (GI)
* Palliative Care This diverse rotation model allows fellows to develop strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration across multiple acute care specialties—preparing graduates for seamless transition into independent practice.
** Hands-On Learning in Premier Clinical Settings
** The majority of the fellowship takes place at
** Riverside Regional Medical Center**, providing consistent exposure to high-volume, high-acuity patient care. To enhance learning and broaden clinical perspectives, fellows may also rotate at
** sister facilities within the health system**, offering additional specialty and patient population exposure.

Work schedules are thoughtfully structured with
** 8- to 12-hour shifts**, depending on the rotation, balancing real-world clinical experience with an emphasis on professional growth and well-being.
