** Position Highlights:

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and manage acute GI conditions
* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
* Participate in inpatient rounding and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists
* Interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary care planning
* Engage in teaching opportunities with residents and medical students, if desired
* Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

* Qualifications:

*** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
* Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia
* Current DEA certification
